TNPSC General Photo Guidance

This page is the general TNPSC photo entry point. Group 4 applicants can use the dedicated Group 4 tool below, which separately displays its pending exam-specific verification status. General guidance is not verification of every recruitment’s rules.

TNPSC general photo guidance

  • Horizontal: 300–400 px
  • Vertical: 250–400 px
  • Format: JPG/JPEG
  • File size: below 50 KB

The guideline does not state a minimum KB size. “Below” is a strict limit; leave a margin. A passed settings check is not application approval.

Verification status: verified against TNPSC general guidance. Last verified: 2026-10-10. Source type: official-general-guideline.

Choose the Right Settings for Your Application

The 300 × 400 px / 20–50 KB JPEG starting settings are product defaults, not a verified exam-specific requirement. Check your current notification and adjust width, height, minimum/maximum KB and format where needed. The general guideline gives a strict upper cap and no minimum KB; leave room below the maximum.

How to Resize a TNPSC Photo

The crop follows the chosen aspect ratio so resizing does not stretch your face.

  1. Upload a JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP photo and review its original size.
  2. Set dimensions and format from your current application instructions.
  3. Drag and zoom to keep your face visible within the crop.
  4. Process, then check pixels, actual bytes and format against the selected settings.
  5. Download and reopen the saved image before submission.

Why TNPSC Photo Requirements Can Differ

Recruitments, older notices and application workflows may use different instructions. Use the current official source for your application. This site separates general guidance, product starting settings and exam-specific verification status; it does not promise acceptance.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this tool for different TNPSC applications?

Yes. This is the general TNPSC photo tool, with adjustable settings. Enter the values in your current application instructions; the starting preset is not verified for every recruitment.

What is the current TNPSC general photo guidance?

The general resize guideline gives 300–400 px horizontal, 250–400 px vertical, JPG/JPEG and below 50 KB. It does not state a minimum KB size or verify Group IV 2026-specific parameters.

Which settings should I choose?

Read the latest notification and application workflow instructions. Choose width, height, format and KB limits accordingly, then inspect the downloaded file. A passed check confirms the selected settings only.

Should Group 4 applicants use this page?

The dedicated TNPSC Group 4 Photo Compressor has Group IV 2026 context and its pending verification status. Use this general tool if you need to adjust settings to your application instructions.

Does resizing stretch my face?

No. The image is cropped to the selected ratio before resizing. Drag and zoom to preserve important details rather than stretching the photograph.

Is my photo processed locally?

Your images are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our server. No registration is needed, and the site does not save your image.
